Man Arrested After Swiping Shampoo, Can't Make Bail: Police

Chappaqua man charged with petty larceny after shoplifting, authorities said.

A 28-year-old Chappaqua man was arrested by White Plains Police after attempting to pilfer shampoo, Advil, olive oil and other sundries from the Stop and Shop on North Broadway, authorities told Patch.

The man, identified as Travis Walker of Elm Street, tried to stroll out of the store Monday at about 7:45 p.m. without paying for $29.55 worth of groceries, police said.

Walker was stopped by a store employee, and soon after arrested by police. He has been charged with petty larceny, a misdemeanor.

Walker was unable to meet the $250 bail, and held overnight for his Tuesday arraignment, cops said.
