Mt. Kisco Police Blotter: DWI, Assault Arrests

Arrests do not indicate convictions.

Man Accused of DWI

Aug. 26, 12:28 a.m., Lexington Avenue

Police reported that a driver had been swerving across lanes. The driver was pulled over and he was charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI), a misdemeanor. The man accused, 33-year-old Jose Santos Mendez, is a Mount Kisco resident.

Alleged Assault 

Aug. 28, 3:03 p.m., Maple Avenue

Police arrested and charged Marlin Lashaun Fryar, a 23-year-old Mount Kisco man, with third-degree assault and unlawful possession of marijuana. He is accused of assaulting a 19-year-old woman, also a Mount Kisco resident. Police stated that she had injuries to her face, chest and arms.

Man Accused of Drugged Driving

Aug. 28, 10:16 p.m., Main Street

Police reported that a man was driving his vehicle erratically. He was pulled over and police claim that he appeared to be drug impaired, although a test is still pending as of this report. Police arrested the man, 22-year-old Yorktown Heights resident Cliff Mascarenhas, in connection with the matter. He was also charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and unlicensed operation of a vehicle.

Man Arrested on Bench Warrant

Aug. 30, 5:15 p.m., Green Street

A 20-year-old Bedford Hills man was arrested on an issued bench warrant for failing to appear in court, police claimed. The man, Patrick Arosado Rosado-Espinoza, is accused of not showing up to a court date in connection with a charge of grand larceny.

Public Urination Arrests

Two arrests for alleged urinating in public, which is a non-criminal violation, were made. The first took place on Aug. 24, reported at 4:28 a.m. on Main Street, of a 36-year-old Mount Kisco man. The second arrest happened on Aug. 25 at 11:27 p.m. on Britton Lane, and involved a 32-year-old Mount Kisco man.

Person Accused of Fleeing After Not Paying Fare

Aug. 29, 12:27 a.m., Spring Street

A cab driver complained that a person owed fare money but ran off, damaging a side mirrior in the process. The cabbie declined to press charges.
