State Police: Mt. Kisco Resident Arrested for DWI Amid Checkpoint

Two people were arrested in Bedford and charged with driving while intoxicated on Aug. 31 due to a checkpoint on Interstate 684, New York State Police announced.

One individual is a 34-year-old Mount Kisco resident who police allege had a blood alcohol content (BAC) level of .17 percent. The other is a 49-year-old Carmel resident who police allege had a BAC level of .10 percent. The BAC levels were based on breath samples provided, according to police.

DWI is a misdemeanor, and the two are due for appearances in Bedford's justice court at an unspecified later date.
