Woman, 26, Scratches, Bites Boyfriend on New Year's Day

The 26-year-old woman also threw a brick at his car once they got to her home, police said.

A 26-year-old woman is facing criminal charges for scratching and biting her boyfriend while he was driving on the Taconic State Parkway in Yorktown toward her Mahopac home on New Year's Day, state police said.

Once they arrived at her home, the woman threw a brick at her boyfriend's car, police said. 

She was arrested at around 4 a.m. and charged with third-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal mischief, misdemeanors, police said.

The woman was scheduled to appear in Yorktown Town Court on Jan. 7.
