New Castle to Get More Con Ed Crews

Town Administrator gives update.

(Editor's Note: Below is a Saturday evening status update from New Castle Town Administrator Penny Paderewski on the town getting more help from Con Edison for post-Hurricane Sandy recovery.)

New Castle has been assigned additional crews to move us ahead more quickly in the clean up. Special attention is being spent on neighborhoods that have been blocked in, opening schools, and getting all streets opened up. Both clean up and restoration is taking place. We will keep updates coming to you daily. I have been working with the Police Department and the Public Works Department in the Emergency Operations Center in getting updates out to you. Update again tomorrow. Stay safe.

Penny Paderewski, Town Administrator
