Snow Emergencies Declared in New Castle, Mount Kisco

A snow emergency has been declared for New Castle, the town announced. It will be in effect from Jan. 2 at 5 p.m. to Jan. 3 at 4:59 p.m.

The emergency means that parking vehicles on streets or leaving them unattended is banned for the duration.

The emergency was issued by new Supervisor Rob Greenstein, which will be one of his early actions as a newly elected official.

Meanwhile, Mount Kisco's declared snow emergency will start on Friday at 12:01 a.m. and run until 8 a.m. The emergency, declared by Village Manager James Palmer, prohibits parking on streets. The village is offering free parking in its lots during the emergency, with a list of the places at this link.
