Today: Deadline for Voting Registration

A look at notable items for Friday.

1. Today is the deadline to register to vote for the Nov. 6, 2012 general election, which includes a ballot for president, congress, state legislature and judicial races.

According to New York state law, registration can be done at a local board of elections. This can be done at the county's office in White Plains.

2. The Chappaqua Library is hosting a screening of "Shakespeare High," which explores a group of high school students and interest in drama. It starts at 7 p.m. Click here for details.

3. New York State has a required emergency dismissal day, according to local schools. Check with your school for details.
