Officials in New Castle and Mount Kisco announced the declaration of snow emergencies, which means that on-street parking is prohibited.
Mount Kisco's emergency, which was authorized by Village Manager James Palmer, is in effect from 12:01 a.m. to 7 a.m. on Sunday, the village announced. Every municipal lot will be open for free parking during the emergency, according to Mount Kisco's announcement, which is at this link.
New Castle's emergency, which was authorized by Supervisor Susan Carpenter, is longer because it runs from 5 p.m. on Saturday evening to 4:59 p.m. on Sunday evening. The town's announcement is at this link.
