Bedford Central's Elementaries to Reopen; Fox Lane HS/MS Closed

Elementary schools to reopen Monday, while high school and middle school will remain closed.

Hello, this is the Bedford Central School District.  This is an 8:00 p.m. update regarding the status of schools.  On Monday, November 5th, the following schools will be open: Bedford Hills Elementary School, Bedford Village Elementary School, Mount Kisco Elementary School, Pound Ridge Elementary School, West Patent Elementary School, and Rippowam Cisqua Schools Upper & Lower Campuses.

The following schools will remain closed on Monday: Fox Lane High School, Fox Lane Middle School and Saint Patrick’s Parochial School in Bedford. 

Transportation will be provided to the in-district schools that are open.  Buses will not be able to go into the small number of roads that are still closed or not passable.  No Out-of-District transportation will be provided on Monday.  Out-of-District transportation will resume on Tuesday for those schools that are open.

Central office, technology and all custodial staff for all buildings should report to work.  Faculty and support staff for open schools should also report to work.

Just a reminder that Tuesday, November 6th has been changed to a student attendance day, not a Superintendent’s Conference Day as was originally scheduled.

Via Bedford Central Schools:

Bedford Hills, Bedford Village, Mt. Kisco and Pound Ridge Elementary Schools will be open Monday, Nov. 5.

Transportation will be provided to those schools if buses can reach your bus stop.  Central office staff, technology staff, all custodial staff, and school building staff for buildings currently open, are to report to work.  Currently, Fox Lane High School, Fox Lane Middle School and West Patent Elementary School do not have electrical power.  If these other schools receive power later this evening we will change this announcement.

On Monday, November 5th there will be no Out-of District transportation for private or parochial schools or for Out-of-District Special Education class locations.  Out-of-District transportation will resume on Tuesday for schools that are open. 

In-district private & parochial transportation will be available if your school is open.
