Drenched in tattoos and sporting sunglasses, a sweatshirt and a white Horace Greeley football hat, Quakers football coach Bill Tribou has been as familiar on gridiron sidelines as pads on football goal posts and Dial-A-Downs on the turf.
Tribou, who was rumored to be retiring at the end of last year, opted to return for what could or could not be his final season. It's easy to see why. Horace Greeley totes a strong-armed running back disguised as a quarterback in Section 1 Player of the Year hopeful Justin Ciero. Ciero, a three-year starter, triggers a high-powered offense.

While Ciero toted the pigskin for 190 yards on a 13-for-23 clip, the Quakers were beat and battered to the tune of a 42-7 washout at the hands of Harrison on Saturday.
The Huskies executed their offense in quick-hit fashion. Will Hilliard broke a 58-yard run and Robert Waldman pulled in a 15-yard pass from Huskies quarterback Vinnie Nacita. Moments later, Hilliard took the ball on a 17-yard ride into the end zone and Robert Bruno's extra point kick sailed through the uprights. Harrison seized a 21-0 bulge they never squandered. Perhaps as disappointed about Tribou after the loss was Harrison coach Art Troilo Jr.

Troilo Jr. was outspoken about the flaws of the new Section 1 playoff seeding system. For more information on the game and Troilo's issues with the system, please click here to read Journal News scribe Mike Doughtery's piece.

The Quakers' Boys Soccer team encountered a buzz saw in Port Chester's Kevin Rivieros, who scored both of the Rams' goals as PC stamped a 2-0 win over Greeley.
