Chappaqua Schools to Have 2-Hour Delay, Post-Sandy Busing

UPDATE, 9:02 P.M. WEDNESDAY:

In an email to the district community, Superintendent Lyn McKay announced that school will open Wednesday with a 2-hour delay, which will follow a nor'easter storm.

For those without regular bus routes, morning buses will be available at FOUR centralized locations. Please make sure you stay with your child until you see him/her get on to one of the waiting buses. The four locations are as follows:

Gedney Park – for Greeley drop children by 6:55 am; for Seven Bridges drop children by 7:15 am; for Roaring Brook drop children by 8:45 am.

Bell School Main Parking Lot – for Greeley drop children by 7:05 am; for Roaring Brook drop children by 8:45 am.

D’Agostino Parking Lot – for Bell School drop children by 7:15 am; for Grafflin drop children by 8:45 am.

The A&P in Millwood – for Greeley drop children by 6:55 am; for Westorchard drop children by 8:45 am.

Please note that these centralized locations will NOT be for drop-off in the afternoon. If you dropped your child at a centralized bus location in the morning, you will have to pick him/her up at school in the afternoon. For elementary and middle schoolers, if you are planning to make alternate arrangements for someone other than a parent to pick up your child from school in the afternoon, please be sure to send a signed note to that effect in the morning.
