Chappaqua School Board Candidates Announced

Deadline for filing is April 19.

The Citizens' Non-Partisan Candidate Committee for the Chappaqua Board of Education (CNPCC) has announced that four candidates are running for the Board of Education in the upcoming election so far.

Two seats are up for new terms this year, the seat of current President Jeffrey Mester and the seat of Jay Shaprio. Mester has announced that he will run for a second term, while CNPCC has announced that Shaprio will not run again. Three other candidates are running as of Saturday. They are Randall Katchis, Amy Ansehl and Nona Ullman.

The CNPCC states that its purpose "is to seek out and encourage able and interested citizens to run for the Board of Education, to assist candidates in obtaining information regarding the role of a Board of Education member, and to ensure that qualified candidates are presented to the voters."
