Friday is a Snow Day for Bedford Central Schools

The Bedford Central School District will have schools closed amid a coming snow storm.

With a major snowstorm forecasted to hit northern Westchester, schools in the Bedford Central School District will be closed on Friday.

Superintendent Jere Hochman sent out an alert to local media Thursday night about the decision.

Weather forecasts from various organizations have predicted heavy snow fall, with a possible 1-foot amount cited.

The district also posted an announcement about the decision on its website. Out-of-district transportaiton and after-school activities are also canceled.
