League Of Women Voters To Hold BOE Candidate Events For Bedford & Chappaqua

Debates will take place in two weeks.

The League of Women Voters will hold two candidate events for people running in the elections for the Board of Education in both the Bedford Central School District and the Chappaqua Central School District.

Bedford announced today that its event will be held on May 10 at 7 p.m., at the Little Theater at Fox Lane Middle School.

The candidates running in the Bedford district are Bedford residents Michael Solomon and Jennifer Gerken for Paula Kumar's open seat, Mount Kisco's Suzanne Grant for Donna Marino's vacant seat and Pound Ridge resident and incumbent Erika Long, who is running unopposed.

The candidates running for the Chappaqua Board of Education are: Jeffrey Mester, the current president who is seeking another term, Randall Katchis, Nona Ullman and Amy Ansehl. The later three are not incumbents. One seat is vacant, that of current board member Jay Shaprio, because he is not running for re-election.
