Update, Photos: Valerie Tripp At Mount Kisco Elementary & Library

Author made stops on Friday and Saturday

Mount Kisco native and American Girl series author Valerie Tripp made an appearance at Mount Kisco Elementary School Friday. The following are some pictures of her class appearance, provided by the Bedford Central School District.

Tripp also appeared at the Mount Kisco Public Library on Saturday afternoon. Here are some photos of her appearance, which included a discussion with about two dozen girls on what it is like to be a writer, mixed with her own experiences. That event was for kids in third grade and up. A tea party for children in pre school and up was held later in the day.

One thing that was noted at both appearances is her strong literary bond with Mount Kisco Elementary School. It was noted by the district in its announcement, and again by Tripp herself on Saturday, that whenever she thinks of a school, she thinks of Mount Kisco Elementary.
