It's still early, I would be shocked if any schools were in session tomorrow throughout the Tri-State area.

As usual, the Yorktown School District thinks its a fun game to not announce its intention to close leaving the working families of Yorktown to stress over childcare arrangements. Give us a break and make the announcement (this one and future ones) in a timely fashion. You have already decided what you plan for tomorrow .

Susan, Yorktown called its ConnectEd list at about 1PM this afternoon.

So be a man and step up to the plate.

Schools should have stayed open and had an early dismissal today as they most likley will be closed tmrw and who know after that
Bob Zahm October 29, 2012 at 03:31 PM
Agree, but ... depends on whether staff can get to the school to teach. In Rye, there are more than a few teachers who commute via MTA North. With that shutdown, it's not at all clear that sufficient level of staffing could be reached. On the other side, I expect to see schools closed tomorrow - with a real reason - which means 2 of 3 "snow" days will have been used before the snow season starts...
Michael Woyton (Editor) October 29, 2012 at 04:29 PM
I was thinking "snow day" just yesterday, but it seemed odd.
