Wertheimer Named Intel Semi-Finalist
The HGHS student is among 14 Westchester kids making it past the first cut in the country's top science competition.
Davis Wong Wertheimer, 17, is among 300 semi-finalists in the prestigious Intel Science Talent Search.
He receives a $1,000 prize—and $1,000 for the high school.
In all, 14 Westchester students got to the semi-finals out of 1,839 entrants. They're in the running for 40 finalist slots; 11 will win the top prizes. Finalists will be announced Jan. 25.
