Support MHA and help promote mental health and wellness at MHA on the move: Run/Walk - a 5K Run/Walk and 1-Mile Kids’ Race - on Sunday, May 6, 2012, at Franklin D. Roosevelt State Park in Westchester County, N.Y. The Kids’ Race begins at 9:00 a.m. and the 5K Run/Walk Begins at 9:45 a.m. The Westchester Road Runners Club will time the race and medals are awarded to the top three male and female runners in each age category. The family-oriented event includes games, food and entertainment. Register at the event! In this unit (Vehicles In Motion) the kids will build Coaster…Read More Cars and test different aspects of the motion of their vehicles such as: distance traveled, acceleration, straightness, and friction. This unit emphasizes student collaboration in order to develop a set of performance test procedures for measuring Coaster Car performance. An incoming sixth grader can definitely join!
