Fox Lane Gets Homecoming Win Against Mamaroneck

Fox Lane's football team delivered a homecoming victory Saturday afternoon over Mamaroneck with two touchdowns and a defense that kept the opponent scoreless.

The Foxes won the game by 14-0 thanks to a pair of second-quarter touchdowns from Lucas Beni and Perry Spiro. They were also able to avoid having the Tigers score, with their rising offensive momentum at times failing to bring points.

Fox Lane Coach Steve Quinn, who got his first homecoming win as head coach, was  elated. He also felt that the Mamaroneck team, which came in at 1-2 and faced a tough schedule, would not be easy to play.

“We knew that we were in for a dog fight.”

Quinn also felt that his team had a good week.

“Probably had our best week of practice of the whole season and I really think it showed today.”

Fox Lane, now 2-2, faces Carmel at its next game.
