No. 4 Fox Lane's Allison Lombardi hit a three-run homer in the bottom of the sixth to score the eventual game-winning run in the Foxes' 6-5 triumph against visiting North Rockland on May 25 in a Section 1 Class AA first-round contest according to Debbie Schechter's post on the LoHud Softball Blog.
Lombardi went 2 for 4 with four RBI. Christie Lombardi went 2 for 3 with a double and one RBI.
Schechter also reported that on the same day in another Class AA first-round matchup, visiting No. 10 Horace Greeley won at No. 7 Suffern 3-1.
Greeley's Meryl Rosenberg went 3 for 4 with a homer and three ribbies. Winning pitcher Jamie Weisser allowed only four hits and struck out seven for the Quakers.

No. 4 Fox Lane's TJ Hallock picked up the win (6 IP, 6 H, 2 BB, 3 HBP, 6 R, 4 ER, 7 K, 116 pitches, 67 strikes) in the Foxes' 7-6 triumph against visiting No. 5 New Rochelle in the quarterfinals of the Section 1 Class AA Tournament on May 26 as per Vincent Mercogliano's post on the LoHud Baseball Blog.
Mercogliano also reported on this separate post that the Foxes won their first-round contest 9-7 against Clarkstown North on May 25.
