1. The Bedford Central School District Board of Education announced that it will have a special meeting on Wednesday to interview three candidates seeking an open seat on the board. The candidates are Edward Reder, Brian Sheerin and Joe Malichio. The meeting starts at 7 p.m. and will be held at Fox Lane Middle School's Little Theatre.
2. The New Castle Planning Board will hold a work session on Tuesday to discuss a scoping document, which is an important review step, for The Spa at New Castle (Legionaries of Christ site redevelopment proposal). The board will meet at 7 p.m. at town hall in Chappaqua, with other applications being reviewed first.
3. It was announced that the 65th annual Herb Fair will be held on Thursday at the John Jay Homestead in Katonah.
4. Mount Kisco's annual sidewalk sales days, presented by the chamber of commerce, have been announced for this coming Saturday and Sunday for downtown Mount Kisco.
5. Chappaqua's annual Community Day has been announced for this coming Saturday. The event is backed by the Rotary Club of Chappaqua each year.
