New Castle Memorial Day Ceremonies Start at 10:30AM

Here are the parade instructions for participants and parents.

Ceremonies at the Victory Corners Monument (King Street and Bedford Road) will take place at 10:30 A.M., Monday, May 26, 2014, with a Clergyman, Parade Marshals, Town Board, Veterans and a bugler in attendance. The Parade will “Eyes Left” as it passes the Monument. 
 
The Parade will assemble in Ridgewood Terrace, at 10:40 A.M. 
 
At 11:00 A.M., Monday, May 26, 2014, the Memorial Day Parade will step off from Ridgewood Terrace at Bedford Road. The Line of March is attached so you can find your approximate location of assembly. 
 
The Honor Guard, Marshals, Clergy, Town Board, School and Library Boards, Pipers and Delancey’s Brigade, World War II, Korean War, Vietnam War, Iraq-Afghanistan Veterans, Gold Star Mothers and Seniors will assemble on Ridgewood Terrace between Bedford Road and Elm Street. 
 
Fire Commissioners, Chappaqua and Millwood Fire Companies will assemble on Salem Road, entering through Hollow Oak Road and Brook Lane. 
 
All other units, including seniors with vehicles, will assemble in the order indicated on the attachment. Please assemble on Ridgewood Terrace beyond Elm Street. Deputy Parade Marshals will assist you in forming up. 
 
No motor vehicles other than those of participating units and residents will be permitted on Elm Street or Ridgewood Terrace during assembly period. Parents of band members, soccer team members, and Scouts are requested to please drop participants at the intersection of Route 120 and Elm Street between 10:30 A.M. and 10:45 A.M. 
 
The Parade will proceed along Route 117 to King Street. The Parade will “Eyes Left” as it passes the Monument and then down King Street and South Greeley Avenue to the Memorial Circle at the Railroad Station. Fire Company Motor Units will break out at Woodburn. The Green will be occupied as directed by the Parade Marshals.
