Horace Greeley High School offers a comprehensive experience for its students, both academically and socially. It gives a choice of both Regents Exam-level courses and Advanced Placement courses.

The school's athletic program includes sports ranging from football, to lacrosse, basketball and ice hockey. Greeley even has teams for sports such as golf, bowling and skiing. 

Student clubs run in a broad range that includes an Improv Club, a Cycling Club and Amnesty International, among others.

Graduating students who head off to college, also find a support system in the form of the Horace Greeley Scholarship Fund, which provides financial aid for continuing education.
