Laura Rice (the owner) has been involved with my kids for years. Her approach has a great balance between nurturing and teaching that allows kids to learn while building confidence. She uses techniques and tools that other tutoring companies don't and the difference shows. I've been amazed by her understanding of how kids learn to read. It's nice to work with a real professional.

This is a wonderful center run by a wonderful teacher and person. Laura is truly gifted in how to cater her expertise to a child who is struggling with reading. She know many different methods to inspire a child and make it fun to learn. I have been amazed at how quickly she has been able to teach my son. Even my son's teacher has noticed a huge improvement in the short time we have been working with Laura. Not once has my son said he doesn't want to go to Laura-she truly makes a child feel very welcome and at home. Highly recommend this center and Laura!
Great tutoring by a real professional. The atmosphere is comfortable and welcoming but it's clear the kids are there to learn. Focus is on progress and helping the kids gain confidence and feel good about learning to read. No pressure to perform. Best part, my son is learning that he really enjoys reading.

We have known Laura professionally and personally for 10 years. We met her in her capacity as a Zydeco dance instructor at her dance school. We found her to be an outstanding instructor extremely reliable, organized, proficient, and professional. We felt fortunate to have found her school and we currently are very active in the Zydeco Cajun music and dance scene completely inspired by her dedication along with her husband Jeremy to the nurturing and preserving the Cajun/Zydeco culture. In her work with children, she has created and produced several learning games that have been published by Nasco, an educational publications company that supplies schools and educators. My daughter who is a teacher has used them successfully with her students in her classes. In our many conversations with Laura, we find her to be completely dedicated and committed to the well being and academic advancement of her students while adapting to each of their unique learning styles.
