<p>Westchester County Parks system spans more than 18,000 acres, with 50 parks and recreational areas where you can hike, bike, swim, fish, skate, golf, picnic or just relax. Open from dawn to dusk every day of the year, the parks offer some of the most picturesque scenery in the Northeast.</p>
<p>Park passes for county residents, 12 years and older, are $50 and valid for 3 years. Senior citizens, 60 years and older and disabled residents pay $50 for six years.</p> <p>Westchester County Parks is committed to preserving and conserving our natural resources. It tracks wildlife to preserve indigenous species, eliminates invasive plants and monitors streams and wetlands to protect our water supply from waste water pollution.</p> <p>It offers environmental education programs, seminars and hands-on workshops that address issues such as the state of the forest, recycling and water quality.</p>
