Cabbage Hill Farm Foundation is a private working farm dedicated to the preservation of historic farm animals such as…More the large black pig, Devon cattle, as well as Shetland sheep and several types of geese and ducks.</p> <p>The farm features organically grown produce, eggs, honey, striped bass, grass-fed beef and pastured heritage-breed pork and lamb.</p> <p>Greenhouse manager Kevin Ferry notes that the farm incorporates aquaponics, the "modern sustainable approach to agriculture," the combined culturing of fish and plants. Fish water is cleansed and circulated through water beds to nourish a variety of green crops.</p> <p>Much of what is produced at Cabbage Hill Farm is available in the winter at the Farmers Market at the Westchester County Center.</p> <p>Public tours are held year round on the first Friday of every month at 1pm. You are encouraged to dress in comfortable clothes and shoes or boots.</p> <p>Every Saturday, beginning May 29, there will be a Cabbage Hill Farm stand at St. Mark's Episcopal Church from 9:30am – 1:30pm. The church is located at 85 East Main St. in Mt. Kisco. And to taste their products in action, be sure to visit The Flying Pig.</p>
