On Saturday,
September 28, 2013, Mount Kisco Child Care Center will host its 9th Annual Feed Me Fresh: An Edible
Evening fundraiser, at Ivanna Farms in Bedford Corners, NY. In addition to
raising critical funds for the Center, this special event serves as an
opportunity to recognize individuals who have made contributions to our
community through the generosity of their time, and who have also supported the
Center and helped to ensure its ongoing success.
This
year’s honorees include Dottie Jordan, who is retiring after nearly 30 years as
Executive Director of the Center. The Center will also honor
the late Grace Marwell and the Marwell Family. Mrs. Marwell was a founding member of the Mount Kisco
Child Care Center.
She and her family have been dedicated to MKCCC for over four decades.
In
keeping with the Center’s seasonal and local farm-to-table philosophy, the
event will feature pumpkin specialty drinks and tastings from many of
Westchester’s top restaurants including Belizzi, Captain Lawrence Brewing
Company, Frannie’s Goodie Shop, La Tulipe Desserts, Ladle of Love/Café of Love,
Lexington Square Café, MKCCC’s own “Feed Me Fresh” Kitchen, Mount Kisco
Seafood, Pour Café and Wine Bar, Quaker Hill Tavern, Peter Pratt’s Inn, Silver Spoon Catering, Skinny Buddha and Village Social. Guests will also enjoy a
lively Blue Grass band, open bar and fabulous live and silent auctions.
