An Evening of the Arts to Support Assemblyman Bob Castelli

Friends and supporters of Assemblyman Bob Castelli will have an opportunity to show their support for him at a unique event in northern Westchester this Saturday, September 15 from 4 PM to 7 PM, entitled, "An Evening of the Arts."  The event features the music of renowned trumpeter, Louise Baranger, and her jazz trio served up with wine and hors d'oeuvres, and the opportunity to view the work of acclaimed artist Erica Hauser. 

The evening is hosted by the internationally renowned artist Tom Christopher at Lift Trucks Project, his studio and gallery in Croton Falls, in the town of North Salem, regarded as one of the most exciting exhibit spaces in the New York metropolitan area. 

Ms. Baranger is an international soloist who has performed with Harry James and Nelson Riddle and from Las Vegas to Broadway at events including the Emmy Awards and the Millennium New Year's Eve Celebration in Boston’s Symphony Hall.  Baranger will be performing a wide range of jazz selections as fine wines are served chosen to match the music by her husband, Fred Tregakis, the host of in NPR's, "A Moment in Wine."

Castelli, who currently represents the 89th Assembly District, is seeking a second term to the Assembly representing the newly redistricted and renamed 93rd A.D., which adds North Salem and additional portions of the City of White Plains to the other areas he currently represents: Bedford, Harrison, Lewisboro, Mt. Kisco, New Castle, North Castle and Pound Ridge.

 Elected to the Assembly in a Special Election in February of 2010 and again in the General Election just a few months later, Castelli is a member of the Governor’s Regional Economic Development Council, and the Ranking Member of the Veterans Affairs Committee. A Vietnam veteran, after a 22 year career with the state police which culminated in his service on the Organized Crime Task Force, the Assemblyman went on to receive a Graduate Degree from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, and to continue his career of service as a College Professor on the faculty of John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York City, Marist College, and as Chairman of the Criminal Justice Department at Iona College.
