Ossining Man Struck by Car in November Dies from Injuries

After over a month under critical care at Westchester County Medical Center, a 65-year-old Ossining man struck by a car has succumbed to his injuries.

Louis Nardone, Jr., of Erin Court, was hit while crossing the intersection of State and William streets in Ossining the afternoon of Nov. 20.

On Dec. 30, he was pronounced dead at the hospital. The County Medical Examiner revealed the cause of death as "brain and lung injuries," according to LoHud.com

A week after the accident, police reported that that he remained in critical condition at the medical center. Lt. William Sullivan attributed the crash to “possibly sun glare” and the driver, a 74-year-old Ossining resident, has not been charged for what has been ruled accidental.

Nardone, born in Peekskill, leaves behind two sons in Mohegan Lake and a brother, Fiorello Nardone, in Ossining.
