Nanodiamonds Can Help Treat Oral Disease
Nanodiamonds may be the best friend for dental health.
Scientists have discovered that these tiny diamonds not visible to the human eye could be used to stimulate bone growth, treat oral-related diseases and improve dental implants.
These materials, about four to five nanometers in diameter, have certain surface properties that deliver bone growth-promoting proteins more effectively than conventional approaches, found the researchers from the University of California, Los Angeles.
