Bio: Tom Auchterlonie is the Local Editor for Chappaqua-Mount Kisco Patch. He grew up in Mount Kisco and has long been fascinated with local news in northern Westchester.

Beliefs 

At Patch, we promise always to report the facts as objectively as possible and otherwise adhere to the principles of good journalism. However, we also acknowledge that true impartiality is impossible and human beings have beliefs. • How would you describe your political beliefs?

Center-left  on about 55-60 percent of national issues, centrist on the rest. Overall, I consider myself a centrist at the state and local level.

Religion

• How religious would you say you are? Casual, observant, devout, non-religious? 

Christian but secular.

• What do you think are the most important issues facing the community?

        Development and zoning, both residential and commercial.

• Where do you stand on each of these issues?

I feel personally that we need to welcome development in the area but also make sure that it doesn't have a negative impact on the quality of life.
