'So Long Summer Party'; Chappaqua School Board Meeting

1. Summer is winding down and tonight the Chappaqua Children’s Book Festival is holding the So Long Summer Party. The festival, which is readying for its flagship downtown event in October, will have the party from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the gazebo on Recreation Field in downtown Chappaqua. Performing will be Hopeton, a DJ from Club Fit. There will be an admission charge of $5 for individuals and $10 for families, with proceeds going to support the Chappaqua Fire Department and Chappaqua Volunteer Ambulance Corps. 2. The Chappaqua school board meets this morning at 10:30 a.m. at Horace Greeley High School. Its agenda, which mostly consists of personnel-related votes, can be found here.

3. The National Weather Service gives a forecasted high of 79 degrees. It also gives a 20-percent chance of isolated thunderstorms in Chappaqua and a 30-percent chance of scattered showers in Mount Kisco and Millwood.
