New Eatery Coming to Ex-Touch of Jamaica Site

A new gourmet foods place will soon open at the old site of , along the South Moger Avenue promenade in downtown Mount Kisco. A building permit has been issued by the village to Danae Sintilas, with the place to be called Xenia Fine Foods. The permit is for reinstalling a separation wall for a kitchen and the front. The storefront has been empty since Touch of Jamaica closed last year.

After being quiet since abrupt nearly a year ago, the South Moger Avenue storefront is alive with construction. Fidelity Investments will move into the back portion that faces Shopper's Park; the building is being subdivided.

The front, meanwhile, is still vacant. Workers could be seen inside with tools that include a jackhammer, and architectural elements in the back section, such as goose neck lamps, have been removed.

Mount Kisco Pet Supplies Store Quickly Closes

Healthy Paws Pet Supply closed this month, after roughly just two months in business. The store took over a space that was Reached for comment, owner Neil Rosenblum wrote back: "No Business at all. Decided to retire."

Ex-Flying Pig Chef Drops Bid for Chappaqua Train Station

Leslie Sutter, the former chef for , has in opening a restaurant at the Chappaqua Train Station. Cheryl Bernstein, a friend of hers, explained that having to wait longer - New Castle is doing repairs to the building - instead of signing a lease was a reason. Sutter will continue to look for a location to open, she explained.

Chase Expands Chappaqua Space

has expanded its location in Chappaqua, which is in the King Street shopping plaza anchored by (and ) site. It took over a vacant storefront to its right.

Walgreens Asbestos Abatement Appears Done

There is no longer a notice for asbestos abatement at the future Walgreens (ex-D'Agostino) site in Chappaqua. Inside, however, the interior appears to have been stripped and gutted, with D'Agostino furnishings removed. During the abatement - a sign was posted outside - the windows were covered.
