Mt. Kisco's Tree Lighting Brings Out Cheer

Large crowd watches as village's annual tree lighting takes place.

A large crowd of onlookers came out Friday evening to watch Mount Kisco's annual tree lighting, at a large pine overlooking Village Hall and the library.

The festive atmosphere included several carols, with candle-like lightbulbs handed out to folks in the crowd. Santa Claus even made a visit!

The lighting was then followed with a gathering at the American Legion hall.

The event is a major community gather annually and is sponsored by the Mount Kisco Chamber of Commerce.

The tree has a big, bright in addition this year in the form of a top ornament. Mayor Michael Cindrich said it was donated by the O'Connor family, who live in the village.
