Peter Alderman Walk; Hawk Watch

A look at notable items for Saturday and Sunday.

1. The annual Friends of Peter Alderman Walk will be held today in Mount Kisco. It starts at 11 a.m., at the Mount Kisco train station and heads to Lexington Avenue. The walk is in memory of Peter Alderman, a 9/11 victim whose family lives near by. According to the group's website, the mission of a foundation in his name, which backs the walk, is to "is to heal the emotional wounds of victims of terrorism and mass violence by training indigenous health workers and establishing trauma treatment systems in post-conflict countries around the globe."

2. Teatown is supporting a hawk watch event today, 10 a.m., at the Kathryn W. Davis RiverWalk Center in Sleepy Hollow's Kingsland Point Park. for details.
