Weeks of Taconic Lane Closures in New Castle, Yorktown
State's Department of Transportation announces lane closures during weekdays for the Taconic's stretch in Yorktown and New Castle.
Although work on the AMVETS Bridge that caused a northbound closure earlier this year is now complete, drivers on the Taconic State Parkway should expect new disruptions for the next month.
The New York State Department of Transportation announced Friday that there will be lane closures on bot hthe northbound and southbound sections of the parkway, between New Castle's Pinesbridge Road and Yorktown's Underhill Avenue.
The closures are slated to be on weekdays until Dec. 28th, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., assuming adequate weather, the DOT announced.
