'Feed Me Fresh' Raises $215,000 for Mount Kisco Child Care Center

Mount Kisco Child Care Center's major fundraising event was successful. The center announced that Feed Me Fresh: An Edible Evening, raised $215,000.

Feed Me Fresh, which is in its ninth year, was hosted recently at Ivanna Farms in Bedford Corners.

The money raised will benefit the center.

"The proceeds will help support MKCCC’s scholarship fund, enabling the Center to further its mission of providing high quality, affordable childcare and early education to a diverse group of children in a safe, healthy environment."

Feed Me Fresh also had several honorees, MKCCC announced. They included longtime Executive Director Dottie Jordan, who will be retiring after working at the center for about 30 years. The late founding member Grace Marwell and the Marwell family were honorees, with the family having supported the center for decades.

Feed Me Fresh had an array of local restaurants providing catering, according to MKCCC. They included Quaker Hill Tavern; Frannie's Goodie Shop; Bellizzi; Arturo's Tavern; Ladle of Love and Cafe of Love; La Camilia; Basilico; Little Kabob Station and Little Crepe Street; La Tulipe; Village Social; Skinny Buddha; Taverna Pandesia; Peter Pratt's Inn; Myong Gourmet and Feed Me Fresh's own kitchen.

Feed Me Fresh is also the name of a garden-to-table program at MKCCC for its kids. The fundraiser's chair was Quaker Hill co-owner Kelly Sullivan, according to MKCCC, with honorary co-chairs being Jim and Twink Wood, along with Sabin and Beverley Streeter. MKCCC Program Director Dawn Meyerski was its master of ceremonies, while ABC Sports celebrity Doug Wilson was its auctioneer.
