Linda Cindrich Nominated for 'Woman of Distinction'

Linda Cindrich, wife of Mount Kisco Mayor Michael Cindrich, has been chosen at the village's nominee for state Sen. Greg Ball's Women of Distinction Hall of Fame.

Cindrich is among 22 nominees for the designation, which each town and village in Ball's district picking someone.

Cindrich's biography, the nomination states, including being a life-long Mount Kisco resident, volunteering for the local recreation commission, the senior center and Chamber of Commerce. She is also a member of the auxillary of the local American Legion chapter. Cindrich's previous involvements included serving on the board of the Boys & Girls Club of Northern Westchester, founding the Parent Center at Mount Kisco Elementary School, serving in the ambulance corps and as a president of the Italian American Club of Northern Westchester. For her fully biography, click here.

The hall of fame will be in Carmel on Sept. 8 at 2 p.m., at Putnam County's Emergency Services Building, Ball's office announced.
