On Monday a packed crowd gathered at Horace Greeley High School for the annual Chappaqua Spelling Bee, which competing teams in costumes and, of course, tricky words.
Teams, backed by sponsors, had quirky names and were organized in rounds for students and adults, with a final round of each category.
The spelling bee, in its fourth year, helps the Horace Greeley Scholarship Fund (HGSF), which provides college financial aid. It is supported by the school's SHARE club.
