Morning Fire Damages Chappaqua Home

There were no injuries and nobody was inside, assistant chief says.

Firefighters battled a home fire in Chappaqua early Monday morning, according to Chappaqua First Assistant Chief Russell Maitland, whose dispatch came minutes before 4 a.m.

The response was to 27 Aldridge Road and the home sustained fire and smoke damage on its first and second floors. The bulk of the fire's external portion was knocked down in about 10 minutes, with the bulk of the internal part knocked about 20 minutes after that.

Chappaqua's fire department was joined by fellow fire departments from Millwood and Mount Kisco on the scene, according to Maitland, with Pleasantville on standby.

There were no injuries and no one was home.
