Police: Dutchess Woman Charged with Aggravated DWI

Police claim the woman who was arrested had a BAC level of .22 percent, which is almost three times the amount that triggers a basic DWI charge.

A Dutchess County woman allegedly drove off a road and was subsequently charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated (aggravated DWI), according to Mount Kisco police.

The woman, Cassandra Hatcher, is a 30-year-old resident of the Dover Plains area, according to police. The matter was reported at 12:05 a.m. on March 10, on West Main Street. Hatcher is accused of having a blood alcohol content level of .22 percent, almost three times the .08-percent threshold that can trigger basic DWI charge.

A charge of aggravated DWI is triggered when an accused person has a BAC level of .18 percent or higher, according to the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles.
