Bedford School Board & Budget Results By Elementary School

District numbers give a localized perspective on vote returns.

The Bedford Central School District has put out numbers from Tuesday's election broken down by elementary school - where people voted based on which attendance area they live in - in addition to district-wide numbers. These numbers are good to provide a local context for the district's multiple constituencies.

The budget - which passed district wide by a total of 2,300 "yes" to 1,514 "no" votes, is as follows:

  • Mount Kisco Elementary School: 487 Yes, 221 No
  • West Patent Elementary School: 368 Yes, 188 No
  • Bedford Hills Elementary School: 309 Yes, 235 No
  • Bedford Village Elementary School: 591 Yes, 497 No
  • Pound Ridge Elementary School: 549 Yes, 373 No

Here is a localized breakdown of the results for the only contested Board of Education seat, which Jennifer Gerken won over Michael Solomon, with the candidate who carried the region listed first:

Editor's Note: The numbers that were first provided for this story were from this link from the school district. However, Patch has received word from Suzanne Grant that the tally was inaccurate, and she provided a more up-to-date set of numbers from the District Clerk's office, which deviate slightly from the Web site's total. The totals she provided also match up with numbers that Patch had obtained on Tuesday night, before the district posted the total in question. The numbers have since been fixed.
