Photos: Greeley Homecoming Games

Horace Greeley High School held its annual homecoming games on Saturday, with the football team and girls soccer team finishing with a pair of wins. Orange and blue, the school's colors, were easy to spot, as were excited student fans.

On the fields, the Quakers' football team defeated Saunders 40-10, while soccer team won by 2-0 over Mahopac.

The football game included a Saunders touchdown from a run of about 60 yards that was then followed by a Greeley touchdown of 80 yards, according to Coach Tim Sullivan. The football team will face several tough opponents, including Harrison, Yorktown and John Jay.

“This will tell the tale of the season," Sullivan said of the upcoming games. After winning over Saunders, Greeley's record is two wins and one loss.

Girls Soccer Coach Erin Tracy noted that there was a position change, with Amanda Becker moving from center forward to sleeper, which helped the team. The soccer team is now three wins and two losses.
