Crabtree's Kittle House to Donate Part of Revenue to Haiti

Will send portion of Sunday dinner revenue to the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund.

Crabtree's Kittle House is taking a step to provide aid to ravaged Haiti. Yesterday was the first of two Sundays for when they will donate a portion of their dinner proceeds to the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund.

Glenn Vogt, a partner in the restaurant, said that 20 percent of total revenue from last night and next Sunday's dinner hours will be sent.

"The restaurant business in general and the restaurant industry has always been one of the first to jump to the lead in helping people in need, and serious causes like this around the country and around the world," he said.

Vogt said that people can help Haiti just by eating at the restaurant.

"You can help the people in Haiti just by coming here and having dinner," he said. "It's a pretty easy and a simple way to participate and show your support."

While the Clintons are friends and customers of Crabtree's Kittle House, Vogt said they haven't talked with them about doing this, and are not involved.

Dining hours for Sunday run from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.
