Katonah 5K; 9/11 Volunteer Event

1. The annual Katonah 5K Road and Trail Race will be held this Saturday at 8 a.m. at Katonah Elementary School, which will serve as the start and finish for the 3.1-mile race.

2. ARC of Westchester is holding Serve & Volunteer 9/11, days before the anniversary, on Saturday at 9 a.m. The organization is looking for five volunteers to participate and the event will be at the Ann Manzi Center in Mount Kisco, which will be repainted.

3. The third-annual "Dusk to Dawn" softball tournament, in honor of Chappaqua resident Dawn Re, will be held Friday evening beginning at 5:30 p.m., at Recreation Field (by South Greeley Avenue) in downtown Chappaqua.

4. The Chappaqua Library announced that it will hold an artist reception for Patti Goldberg Ettinger. The work is Des Colores De Vida and its curator is Larry D'Amico. The reception will be on Saturday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

5. Also announced by the Chappaqua Library is a concert, on Sunday at 3 p.m., of the Enso String Quartet. A French repertoire will be performed by the Grammy nominated quartet, the library announced.

6. Westmoreland Sanctuary announced that it is holding a Critter Day on Sunday at 2 p.m. It will provide access to resident critters, including a rabbit and a snake, and give people opportunities to touch them.
